PROJECT OVERVIEW
The India Smart Cities Award Conclave 2023 was not just an event —
It was a national platform where 100 Smart Cities of India came together to present the future of urban living.
A convergence of technology, innovation, and urban planning, the conclave represented India’s vision of smarter, more sustainable cities.
Graced by Hon’ble President Smt. Droupadi Murmu, along with leading policymakers and dignitaries, the event became a defining moment in the country’s urban transformation journey.
For Reel 9 Studio, this was more than a project —
It was an opportunity to shape how cities visualize their future.
THE CONCEPT
Our approach was driven by a simple yet powerful idea:
“Before a city is built… it must be experienced.”
We were involved end-to-end — from concept to execution, helping cities transform their plans into immersive, understandable formats.
The focus was to convert complex urban ideas into visual and physical experiences that people could instantly connect with.
We designed and developed 7 city experience stalls:
Agra, Indore, Varanasi, Belagavi, Bhubaneswar, Gwalior, Hubballi
Each stall became a storytelling space, representing the city’s vision, infrastructure, and future.
THE CHALLENGES
Projects at this scale come with layered complexity:
Every detail had to be both technically correct and visually impactful.
EXECUTION
Reel 9 Studio brought the project to life through a strong foundation of 3D previsualisation and modelling.
- Created detailed 3D previsualisations of all experience stalls → allowing stakeholders to see and refine the spaces before execution
- Developed accurate 3D models of each city’s infrastructure and vision → transforming plans into tangible visual formats
- Designed and installed 7 experiential stalls based on approved previews
- Built miniature installations and 3D-printed elements → enhancing realism and interaction
- Delivered complete branding and promotional creatives for the conclave
This approach ensured clarity, precision, and confidence —
long before the physical build began.

The conclave emerged as a powerful representation of India’s urban future.
