Where Spirituality Meet Immersive Technology at an Unimaginable Scale
PROJECT OVERVIEW
From 27th April to 2nd May 2025, Sumati Dham, Indore, once again became the epicenter of a historic spiritual gathering.
The Pattacharya Mahotsav & Samahit Punya Smriti Mahotsav marked a deeply significant moment —
the ceremonial appointment of Acharya Shri 108 Vishuddh Sagar Ji Maharaj to the revered Pattacharya position.
Spanning 6 days (April 27 – May 2, 2025) and welcoming an astounding 800,000+ visitors, along with 400+ Jain monks and saints, the event stood as one of the largest spiritual congregations of its kind.
Amidst this divine scale, Reel 9 Studio was entrusted with a powerful mission —
to transform spiritual philosophy into immersive, experiential storytelling.
THE CONCEPT
This time, the vision went beyond screens.
“Not just immersive… but transformative.”
We designed a multi-dimensional spiritual journey, where visitors didn’t just see —
They walked through the philosophy of Jainism.
The experience was built around:
A 90 ft long immersive tunnel projection
A 14-meter dome structure next to the tunnel, enhancing spatial depth
Visual storytelling around Janam–Maran (cycle of life), Narak Lok, and spiritual realms
And taking a step further into the future —
Virtual Reality Experience

A fully curated VR Bus Experience, allowing audiences to travel through spiritual dimensions
In Jainism, there are four sacred Tirth Sthals. We brought this spiritual geography closer to people.
Through 360° Virtual Reality experiences, we recreated major pilgrimage environments — allowing visitors to virtually step into these divine locations.
Using VR headsets, people could witness the essence of these places.
The idea was simple yet powerful —
Those who cannot travel to these sacred destinations… should still be able to experience their presence.
This wasn’t just an installation.
It was a passage — from reality into realization.
THE CHALLENGES
But bringing this vision to life came with intense challenges:
It required not just technical execution —
but deep interpretation and creative responsibility.
EXECUTION
Reel 9 Studio approached the project as both creators and interpreters.
- Converted scriptural knowledge into visual storytelling frameworks
- Designed immersive environments that aligned with spiritual authenticity
- Engineered the 90 ft tunnel projection with a central dome for maximum depth and engagement
- Developed VR content pipelines to ensure smooth, impactful experiences for the audience
Every element was crafted to ensure that technology remained a medium —
not a distraction from the spiritual essence.

The experience left a lasting impact.
The installation became a defining highlight —
where ancient philosophy met cutting-edge technology.
Visitors didn’t just pass through the tunnel…
they paused, reflected, and experienced something beyond the physical.
